Designing a reflective experience across physical and digital media

Mindfully Drawn began as a physical collection of 113 illustrated cards designed to encourage reflection, awareness, and intentional thinking. Each card presents a concept or theme alongside prompts that invite the user to pause, consider their experiences, and explore their thoughts from a different perspective.
What began as a tangible card deck evolved into a broader digital experience. Rather than simply reproducing the physical cards on a screen, the challenge was to translate the feeling and ritual of drawing a card into an interactive environment while preserving the character, simplicity, and intentionality of the original concept.

The digital deck became an extension of the physical system—giving users another way to discover prompts, engage with individual cards, and develop an ongoing reflective practice. This required thinking beyond individual screens and considering the experience as a connected system: how users encounter a card, understand its purpose, interact with its content, and return to the experience over time.

The visual language of Mindfully Drawn was designed to support that sense of reflection. Illustration, typography, motion, and interaction work together to create an experience that feels approachable without becoming distracting. The interface provides structure and guidance while intentionally leaving space for the user's own thoughts and interpretation.
The project ultimately became an exploration of how a physical experience can translate into digital form without losing the qualities that made the original tangible experience meaningful. By treating the cards, digital interface, content, and interactions as parts of the same system, Mindfully Drawn evolved from a collection of physical objects into a flexible experience that can exist across mediums.

Physical deck → Digital deck → Interactive experience
Mindfully Drawn demonstrates my interest in designing experiences that aren't confined to a single medium. The project sits at the intersection of visual communication, interaction design, physical media, and human experience—where the medium changes, but the underlying experience remains connected.
